Simply put, I love to fish. I grew up fishing the saltwater marshes and Atchafalaya Basin of South Louisiana. I had a great mentor in my dad when it came to learning the tools of the trade of bass fishing. A West Texas fisherman who brought his knowledge and passion to the swamps to take Bass Angler of the Year in the local fishing club (quite an accomplishment if you have every fished the endless maze of the Basin). I would not be the fisherman (or man) I am today if it weren't for my dad. So fathers, take your kids fishing! For a few years there I enjoyed fishing East Matagorda Bay with my dad. With the camp being recently sold after a few years of terrible fishing, I've ventured back to freshwater fishing. I target mostly bass, but am not picky if other species are biting at the time. I look forward to many more fishing trips and sharing what I learn along the way. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the information as much as I enjoy each and every trip.
